14 Million Americans Without Bank Accounts May Have Difficulty Getting Stimulus Checks

The new federal stimulus package was said to be designed to get cash into the hands of American consumers quickly. However, the 14 million Americans without bank accounts – known as the “unbanked” – may have to jump through considerable hoops to get their money. Since this group is often economically disadvantaged anyway, critics say the most needy Americans are facing the highest hurdles to assistance.
