April Gave Wall Street One of its Best Months in Decades

Despite continued economic downturns, April proved to be one of Wall Street’s best months since 1987. Both the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones had strong showings, largely based on investors’ optimism about the federal government and central bank efforts to flood the economy with stimulus dollars.
