Boston Cancels St. Patrick’s Day Parade Amid Coronavirus Concerns

In order to prevent the formation of a large crowd – and the potential spread of coronavirus – Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has canceled the city’s popular St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The State of Massachusetts now has 41 confirmed or presumptive cases of COVID-19 and, though risk to the public remains low, officials hope this move will help to stop the spread of the virus as quickly as possible.
