Experimental Drug Remdesivir Showing Promise in COVID-19 Patients

An experimental antiviral drug is showing promise in treating COVID-19 (coronavirus) patients who become seriously ill. The drug, Remdesivir, has been used to treat two hospitalized patients in Washington State, and both showed improvement within 24 hours. Federal health officials are fast-tracking the drug for wider use.
