Federal Reserve Makes Bold Move, Cuts Interest Rates to Zero

In a move reminiscent of the 2008 financial crisis, the Federal Reserve has cut its target interest rate to near zero. The bold action comes as U.S. and world markets continue to free-fall amid coronavirus fears and economic instability. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell says he believes the move was warranted, though he has not yet predicted a recession.
