It May Take America’s Economy a Decade to Recover

The Congressional Budget Office announced Monday that the U.S. economy will likely be recovering for the next decade. Cumulative economic output over that time will be reduced by a projected $7.9 trillion, or three percent of GDP. While stimulus legislation has curtailed some of the economic pain, the lasting effects of business closures, reduced consumer spending and lower energy prices will continue for years.
