Large Grocery Chains Designate ‘Senior Shopping Hours’

Companies including Target, Whole Foods and Safeway have introduced special shopping hours for senior citizens, who are particularly vulnerable to novel coronavirus. The move comes as so-called “panic shopping” has left shelves nearly empty and caused many seniors to go without needed supplies. The special shopping hours also apply to pregnant women and those with compromised immune systems.
