Pier One Announces It Will Close All 540 Stores

As retail stores continue to struggle, homewares giant Pier One has announced it will go out of business. The Texas-based company, which had already filed for bankruptcy after a disappointing holiday season, will permanently close all 540 of its retail locations. The company had been in business since 1962.
