The WHO has Declared COVID-19 a Pandemic

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) a pandemic. This designation means there has been “worldwide spread” of a new disease, but it does not change the WHO’s tactics to combat it. There are now more than 118,000 confirmed cases worldwide, causing more than 4,000 deaths.
