Why Lack of Sleep is Bad for Your Heart

Sleep is essential for our bodies to function well, and experts recommend getting 7-8 hours per night. Without this much-needed rest, we become more likely to develop a host of health problems, including those affecting the heart. In fact, people who don’t sleep enough are at higher risk for cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease and high cholesterol, meaning lack of sleep is incredibly dangerous to the heart.
